Andy Morris wraps up the final round of the AFL 2010 Premiership season.

In a close-fought encounter, the Hawks were trailing in the final term by 19 points before producing a late flurry of four goals to go on to win

Collingwood signed off from its minor premiership winning season with a loss to fellow finals hopefuls Hawthorn.

Despite the narrow three-point loss, partially attributable to shocking goal-kicking accuracy, the Pies closed their season at the top of the premiership ladder, but did see their nine-game winning streak come to an end.

In a close-fought encounter, the Hawks were trailing in the final term by 19 points before producing a late flurry of four goals to go on to win, 15.8 (98) to 13.17 (95).

Geelong closed its minor season with a 44-point victory against the West Coast Eagles, who finish the season in last place for the first time since joining the League.

The Cats were seemingly lacklustre for the first half as the Eagles raced into an early lead, but an inspired Gary Ablett helped them find their way in the second half, putting their slow start behind them to record a 16.16 (112) to 10.8 (68) win.

St Kilda disappointed as they sunk to a 28-point defeat at the hands of Adelaide.

With their forward line failing to fire, unable to prevent the 9.11 (65) to 5.7 (37) defeat, this loss will raise concerns for the Saints as they prepare to face the Cats this coming weekend.

The Western Bulldogs returned to winning ways as they eased past Essendon with a 29-point victory to restore momentum before next week's clash with Collingwood.

The Bulldogs worked to build a 35-point lead at the end of the third quarter, before holding off the Bombers' late charge in the final term, resulting in a final margin of 17.5 (107) to 11.12 (78).

The Sydney Swans set up a home final with Carlton following their comprehensive 38-point victory over the Brisbane Lions.

The Swans were made to work for their victory, with the Lions carving out a narrow half-time lead, but the fifth placed Swans came to life in the third quarter, blasting five unanswered goals to set up the 16.10 (106) to 10.8 (68) win.

Carlton, meanwhile, slipped up against Fremantle, going down by six points.

Fremantle fielded a heavily-changed side but prevailed against the Blues, who did their best to overcome an early deficit.

The Blues rallied from being 30 points behind to blast three goals in the third quarter, cutting their arrears, before a further three goals in the final quarter helped set-up a thrilling finish where Freo held on to secure victory,13.15 (93) to 13.9 (87).

The Kangaroos finished their season in edging past the Demons by 10 points.

After bagging an early lead, and despite the Demons fighting back, the Kangaroos eventually held on to win, 17.11 (113) to 15.13 (103).

In the remaining game, Port Adelaide downed Richmond by 10 points to seal an 18.14 (122) to 16.16 (112) victory.

In Ben Cousin's last game, the Tigers showed some real mettle in turning around a 59 point deficit to come within taking the lead mid-way through the final term. However, a resilient Port Adelaide held out to end the potential for what could have been the steal of the season and a fairytale end for Cousins.
