Andy Morris thinks veteran trainer Tony Svilicich will be going all out for a trifecta at Gloucester Park on Friday night in the $20 500 Spring Stakes.
Svilicich has three major contenders, headed by star pacer HasThe Answers, who has won 23 races this season from 46 starts.
The hardy seven-year-old has also gained nine seconds and five thirds this season, and returns to his favourite distance of 2130m this week.
His form in the last two outings has been excellent, with close seconds on both occasions to Im Themightyquinn, in both the 3309m Marathon Handicap and then last Friday's defeat in the 2563m August Cup.
Eight of the 11 runners in this one are trained at Byford by Svilicich, and the minor placings are sure to be hotly contested by the likes of Mysta Magical Mach and Real Life.
Both Svilicich and driver Chris Lewis have good records in this race, with Lewis having driven both Commander Whitby in 2006 and last year's winner Sneakyn Down Under to victory, while the trainer was behind the success of 2007 winner Demoralizer.
Mysta Magical Mach finished third in the August Cup, the first time he had placed in this season's five starts, while Svilicich claimed Real Life for $15 000 last Friday after the six-year-old's impressive head second to Heeza Hudson over 1730m.
Elswhere at the same meeting, Lord Chelsea will be going for a third straight victory in the West Australian Pace.
Racing out of the yard of Kim Prentice, and driven by his son Justin, Lord Chelsea has won his previous two starts, both by more than 10m.
He won over 2130m at Gloucester Park earlier this month and then scored over 1609m at Bunbury four nights later.
Main dangers to Lord Chelsea include Shipwreck, who has won three of his first seven starts and will be the only back-line runner here, and Trojan Bromac, which has shown well in winning two of his first four starts.
He was out of luck last time out on Saturday night at this track when trapped three wide throughout, but fought on to finish third behind The Terrorizor, who will again be among the contenders here.
